The Cream JTA-45 is available in 2 versions

SUPER LEAD and SUPER BASS

We normally sell the SUPER LEAD Version.

In this version the bright channel has more treble than the SUPER BASS version.

In the SUPER BASS version the bright channel becomes somewhat more mellow and is not so bright.

The change from SUPER LEAD to SUPER BASS can be done anytime and also reverted anytime.

You just unsolder or cut one wire of the little blue treble capacitor on the treble Vol Pot.

By the way, Clapton, Jimmy Page & Co. did prefer the SUPER BASS version.

Review in "Gitarre & Bass", Issue 11 / 2007 (Excerpts)

This amp is so absolutely noiseless, that you start to be astonished already at this point.

The first chords revealed a lush, fat British crunch-tone, which was already dangerously close to the 1965 original standing nearby for comparison.

... the sound of the amp was so close to the original, you could hardly tell which is which. This conclusion made me damned thoughtful. No MOJAVE, no BLOCKHEAD, no METRO did achieve this so far. A direct A / B comparison of both test-partners would have stood any blind test.

The sound of the amp was, in all disciplines and with all guitars, of a quality, that this amp could have been placed in my boutique amp series. Above all, the good workmanship, the carefully selected components and the absolutely convincing output transformer are responsible for that fact.

You get an excellent sound for a bargain price.

Not necessary to come to my workshop to have this amp tuned. I hardly have any idea what to improve to make this amp substantially better.

Re: Cream JTA 45 - for the USA

Heinz,

I got the JTA-45 this morning. The amp sounds amazing. I'm really excited about it even just playing it for a short period of time.

Honestly, I've found that running just into the treble input and having the bass and treble knobs all the way down gets an amazing tone and you can dial just the right amount of treble with the presence knob. I'm actually amazed at how tight the low end on the JTA45 is.

I've tried and heard allot of replica's out there and nothing has come as close as this.

By the way, an Xotic AC booster in front of the JTA45 sounds fantastic as well.
I've been dabbling with it at rehearsal and it really tightens the amp up  when
the volumes are up really high.

I figured I'd use all JTA45 when working on some new songs. Love it. It really lets your guitar shine through and doesn't color the tone coming from the Les Paul at all.

Thanks again for the quick shipping, I really appreciate it.
I think the JTA-45 is my new favorite amp!
