 Review in "Gitarre & Bass", Issue 05 / 2008 (Excerpts) The tone is rough, but sweet, fantastically singing and always has that "roomliness" That means it does not scream into the face of the player, but with it's full sound comfortably spreads in the whole room. The ideal thing for a good club gig. The ALNICO speakers were a real discovery for me. When can we order them separately ? (remark: you can now.) These "cardboards" offer such a wonderful sound, that you will automatically become addicted. Fresh out of the box they sound a bit rough with too much treble, as all ALNICOS do, but after just some hours of playing this goes away and makes way for a soft and warm tone that also has the right amount of "bite". I am sure that the speakers (of the test amp) are still not yet at the top of their ability. Every day I play them, they become finer and smoother. We can only give "5 stars" and a big applause. This product shows, in an impressive way, that boutique qualities, with a lot of love and attention to detail, can be offered at a price level, that could even attract the beginner. And for the speakers we give an extra point on top.

Udo PIpper (tester of Gitarre & Bass,Germany) is right, the speakers sound extraordinaire! I did put 2 of them into a 2x12 speaker cabinet for my China made AC30. (Even though the speakers are not yet "played in") They produce a wonderful, characterful tone with well defined high frequencies, which will be smoothened out with playing time, I think, although even now there is nothing to worry about, but they contribute to the phantastic overall sound. Played rather loud, they are also a revelation ! But not only that, you can connect any amp to that speaker cabinet now and The clean channel comes alive and starts to breathe - ok-you can not expect a metal sound - but for all styles like So congratulations for those great speakers.
